Are you looking to make money online doing surveys? Wondering what the best survey sites are for Canadians? Check out this article that lists the best sites for Canadians to make money completing surveys.
One of my favourite ways to earn extra money is by completing surveys. Sure, it can be a bit tedious at times, but it’s a great way to make some money while watching TV or a movie.
Of course, there are many survey providers out there, but hard to know whether they are legit or a scam. But don’t fret! I’ve been doing surveys for years and have compiled a list of my favourite survey sites for Canadians right here!
So, without further ado, here are my top 10 survey sites for Canadians.

#1 Swagbucks
Swagbucks is totally legitimate and has tons of offers! This is why it is one of highest recommended sites – and for good reason. With all of the offers and ways to earn, I easily earn at least a $50 Amazon.ca gift card each month.
Swagbucks not only has many surveys to earn from, but also many ways to make money by playing games, completing tasks, using their search engine, shopping online and even by watching videos! It’s a great place to earn money, and the more time you have, the more money you can earn!
#2 Treasure Trooper
I’ve been making money on Treasure Trooper for the past few years, and it’s an awesome site. It functions much the same as Swagbucks, but also has an active and friendly community.
I find that Daily Survey #5, Arrowhead digsite #4 and Your Surveys on Cash Offers are the best surveys for Canadians to attempt. On top of survey earnings from these routers, I’ve also had follow up surveys and product trials that have paid me even more!
Not only can you make money by completing surveys, completing tasks, watching videos and searching, but also by playing a really fun dragon game! Want to learn more? Check out this video walk through of the dragon feature:
While the dragons are fun, my absolute favourite part of this site is the active and supportive online community. Treasure Trooper actually has a chatroom where you can pop in and talk chat with other site users. It’s a great way to find out what offers are crediting, get some help, or even just chat. There are also lots of bonuses that chatters earn by being in the chat room!

Treasure Trooper pays out in USD, which gives us Canadians an automatic bonus!

#3 IPSOS
It’s election time right now, and do you notice how there’s all sorts of polls results and data about how Canadians are predicted to vote? Well, that information is primarily compiled through IPSOS, one of the largest survey firms in Canada.
One of the nicest things about IPSOS is that you can receive surveys directly in your email inbox, or you can log into your dashboard and see a list of all active surveys.
Whether you receive an invite via email, or from your dashboard, IPSOS will indicate the estimated completion time and how many points the survey is worth. My experience has been that the estimated completion times are fairly accurate, which is always helpful for deciding how to allocate time.
An extra bonus is that if you attempt a survey and are disqualified, IPSOS will still reward you with 5 points! Plus, with each attempt (and completion) you will get the chance to play a guessing game that will give you points to enter into a draw.
#4 Prolific Academic
If academic research studies tickle your fancy, Prolific Academic is a great site. The surveys curated here are typically from major universities in Canada, the USA and Great Britain, and are often quite interesting. They also pay in GBP and at a higher rate than other sites.
The surveys here go fast. Many people love this not so known site, and as such, available surveys get gobbled up quickly. You can sign up for survey notification emails, but it’s always a good idea to check out the site when you’ve got time to see what’s available.
Each survey has a wait period of about a week before the earnings are added to your account balance (to ensure validity) and the payout minimum is 5 GBP
#5 Survey Lion
Like Prolific, Survey Lion often has higher than average paying surveys (they state they pay out between $1-$10 per survey). However, they don’t seem to put as much effort into geo-targetting, which means that there is a good potential of multiple disqualifications.
Nevertheless, if you’ve got some time or are of an appealing demographic, Survey Lion is a great site for higher paying surveys.
You can request payment at anytime, and money is sent every other month, according to this chart:
Payment Requested Before: | Will be mailed on: |
February 1st | February 15th |
April 1st | April 15th |
June 1st | June 15th |
August 1st | August 15th |
October 1st | October 15th |
December 1st | December 15th |
#6 Asking Canadians
If you are a looking to top off one of your favourite consumer rewards programs, Asking Canadians is a great site for you!
I frequently get surveys delivered to my email from Asking Canadians, which gives many great money earning opportunities.
As a member, you can choose to receive your survey payment in the form of rewards through:
Petro Points
VIA Preference
Aeroplan
Hudson Bay Rewards
The points are added directly to your loyalty reward card after you complete the survey, so there’s no need to cash out or anything afterwards!
#7 Caddle
While Caddle is most known as a cash back app, it also offers surveys! Each day, there is a survey about your opinion on a particular topic, that typically takes less than a minute and adds 5 cents to your account. Also watch each Thursday when new offers are added, as there are often bonus surveys about some of the product deals offered.
5 cents may not seem like a lot, but if you also use the app to upload receipts and get cash back on the products that you buy, then it is a great way to boost you to the payment threshold of $20 quickly and easily.
#8 Google Opinion Rewards
If you are an Android user, Google Opinion Rewards is an app to download! Every once and a while a survey will pop up on your device, which typically asks questions about you and your family’s demographics and questions about recent shopping trips.
In Canada, the Google Opinion Reward credits can only be redeemed in the Google Play Store. So, if you are app lover, or want to boost your level in games you’re playing for money, they Google Opinion Reward credits can come in very handy!

#9 Daily Rewards
Like Swagbucks and Treasure Trooper, Daily Rewards has a huge selection of surveys to earn from and many different types of offers.
The offers on Daily Rewards tend to be fairly high paying, which is a nice way to reach the $30 payment threshold.
They also send out daily emails advertising offers. If you click on the “confirm offer” link in the email, it will open the site for the advertised deal. You get paid 2 cents for each email you open and click! Adding these little actions each day, is a great way to help you reach the payment threshold faster!
#10 Maru Voice Canada
Maru Voice used to be Angus Reid forum, but rebranded. It still works the same though. Surveys are sent to your inbox and each email will share how long the survey should take and how many points you will earn by completing it (most often between 50-100 points). If you accidentally delete a survey invite or want fast access to all the surveys available to you, head over to your dashboard and you will find a list of active surveys.
Once you accumulate 5000 points, you can redeem them for your choice of a selection of $50 gift cards.
So there you have it! If you’re not yet a member of these sites, be sure to join and start making money while you’re hanging out at home! Many of these sites are/or have apps, which can give you opportunities to earn on the go too!
