Since the beginning of my money saving/hustling career, Swagbucks has been a constant and reliable earner. Over the years, I’ve gone from making $5 a month to over $25 consistently.
This is done in just a couple of hours a day, while I’m doing other things!
Swagbucks has recently made some updates offering more ways to earn! As a result, there’s new additions to help you earn even more.
So, without further ado, here’s my new Swagbucks routine, which earns me more than $25 a month!
Search
The more searches you do, the more chances you have to win!
Watch the video below to see how to easily change your browser’s homepage to do a Swagbucks search every time it’s opened!
Watch
You will know that a video has credited when the video number is changed to a check mark. Once this happens, you can flip to the next video.
Once you’ve watched all of the videos in the series, you will earn your Swagbucks!
Changes to the program mean that the system won’t automatically switch to the next series, so you will need to come back to this page whenever you think of it.
Swagbucks TV Toolbar
Every 20 videos that you watch here earns you 3 Swagbucks. However, it does not run automatically, so you have to manually switch videos each time.
Simply watch the progress bar (it will go up 5% once you’ve watched enough of the video) to see when to switch to the next video.
To Do List
Once on the Swagbucks homepage, I scroll down and look for the To Do List on the left-hand side.
The To-Do-List has 6 items to complete, and if you do 5, you’ll earn anywhere from 1 to 5 Swagbucks. The tasks are very easy, and for the most part just involve clicking.
- Daily Poll – Complete the poll and get 1 Swagbuck, plus a check mark.
- Daily Search – Complete a search and if you win Swagbucks, you’ll get check mark. If you don’t win, simply click on the link that says “Daily Search” under the to-do-list and get your completion.
- Daily Watch – Earn at least 1 Swagbuck from one of the video servers (Watch, Toolbar or App).
- Daily Discover – Complete a task under the ‘Discover’ tab. Not only will you get the Swagbucks the offer is worth, but also a completion towards your To-Do-List.
- Daily Answer – Earn Swagbucks from surveys. If you’re disqualified, don’t fret! You’ll still get 1 Swagbuck for attempting (from Peanut Labs and Gold Surveys). If you do complete the survey, you’ll not only get the Swagbucks offered, but also a completion towards your daily list!
- Deal of the Day – To get this completion check, simply click on the ‘Deal of the Day’ link and see what great deal Swagbucks has in store for you! Not only will you get your completion credit, but a bonus Swagbuck too!
Once you complete 5 of those 6 offers, you’ll instantly get your To-Do-List bonus!
Swagcodes
The easiest way to stay on top of swagcodes is to visit sc-s.com, which list codes as they are released.
Make your life even easier, and sign up for their text alerts, to get a text message whenever a new code is released!
Daily Goal
You can up your bonus Swagbucks for the month by achieving your daily goal in consecutive days. If you reach your goal 7 days, you will get a 25 bonus Swagbucks; if you reach your goal 14 days in a row, you’ll get a 100 Swagbucks bonus; if you reach your goal 21 days, you’ll receive a 200 Swagbucks bonus, and if you reach your goal 30 days in a row, you’ll get 300 bonus Swagbucks! These bonus Swagbucks are on top of your earnings, and are such a great way to earn more!
Shop
It typically takes 30ish days for the Swagbucks to be credited to your account.

Answer
- Gold Surveys
The Gold Surveys are typically the highest paying surveys on the site. Each survey
states its length and value, so you can gauge its value to you. If you attempt a survey in the Gold Surveys section and it does not credit, you will receive 1 Swagbuck for trying (unless it has a little ‘i’ beside it – in which case, no credit is offered).
You will also notice on the right-hand side of the screen, your Survey Profile. By
completing this section, Gold Surveys will be able to better match you with surveys that
are more likely to qualify. As an extra balance, every 10 questions you answer, you’ll
receive 2 Swagbucks.
- Peanut Lab Surveys
Peanut Lab Surveys work much like the Gold Surveys – where each one lists the time to complete and the value of the survey. Also like Gold Surveys, you will receive 1 Swagbuck if you are disqualified from the survey.
- Daily Poll
Each day a new poll question will appear. They are pretty innocuous, and are multiple choice. Simply answer the question that best reflects your opinions/beliefs.
Once you complete the poll, you’ll receive 1 Swagbuck and complete one part of your To- Do-List.
Discover
There are 7 different Swagbucks offer pages and 11 different Offer Sponsor Pages, each one full of different ways to earn! New offers come up frequently, so be sure to check the pages often!

If you find an offer that you’re interested in, it’s a good idea to check and see if the same offer is available on a different page. Sometimes, more than one Sponsor will offer the same opportunity, but the payout may be different. Always take a look to make sure you are going to get the highest payout!
Once your Discover offer has credited, you will be awarded the stated amount of Swagbucks AND you will check off one item from your To-Do-List!
Play
Swagbucks are rewarded randomly when playing games, so you may have to do a few rounds before you are awarded.
At the moment, there are only 3 games that pay for playing: Swag Memory, Swag Jump and Swagasaurus Run. There are other games listed, but you only get Swagbucks for making in game purchases. So, if you don’t want to spend the money, make sure you choose one of the three Swagbucks Games!

These apps will give you opportunities to earn Swagbucks on the go.
You can also run one of Swagbucks Watch, EntertaiNow TV, Sportly TV, MovieCli.ps, Lifestylz.tv or Indymusic.tv at the same time you are running your Watch and Toolbar videos on your computer.
For the most part, the app videos can be left on to run and earn you Swagbucks unsupervised, however, every once and a while an ad will pop up that you need to close a window for. There is also a daily maximum of 10 Swagbucks for each mobile app video, so it’s always a good idea to have the mobile videos close by, and check on them every once and a while.
nCrave
When you go to the nCrave section, a series of videos will be made available to you. You will need to watch 15 of the videos to be awarded with 5 Swagbucks. To do this, you simply click the series picture on the nCrave page, which will open two new windows. One window will have a 25 second timer, and the other will show your content. After you have viewed the content for 25 seconds, a green ‘Next’ button will appear. Click it, and the next video will appear. Continue doing this for 15 videos and you will be rewarded. There’s a catch though – if you navigate away from the content page, the timer will freeze until you come back – this requires your full focus.
Swagbutton
When you first install the Swagbutton, you will be give bonus Swagbucks – you only get this the first time you install it.
The button is handy for notifying you offers that come up and when Swag codes are released. It’s also handy for online shopping, as it will automatically let you know if the site you’re on is one of their cashback affiliates.
Not only does it notify you of cashback offers, but if the site you’re on is a Shop Partner, then, the Swagbutton will also let you know what coupons and/or deals are available at the moment. A very handy feature!
It’s also nice for notifying you of new offers. If a new offer comes up, then a little pop-up will appear with what the task is and how many Swagbucks it’s worth. A nice feature for when you’re doing multiple things at a time.
The main thing I use the Swagbutton for is unique Swagcodes. Sometimes, codes are released that can only be redeemed via the Swagbutton code portal. Often during contests, there will be some sort of step requiring you to enter a Swagcode in the Swagbutton, so it’s handy for that.
Contests/Challenges
One of the nicest things about the contests that Swagbucks runs, is that you don’t always have to win to be rewarded. Typically, Swagbucks offers different levels of rewards based on achievement, so everyone gets a little taste of the pie!
Watch the blog, your Swagbucks inbox and your email for contest notifications and always join! They don’t cost anything and almost always offer a prize!
Referrals
With their referral program, you earn 10% of your referral’s earnings for life! The more they earn, the more you do!
On top of the 10% for life, Swagbucks often offers bonus incentives. Typically, it’s the 300 for All incentive, where if your referral earns 300 Swagbucks in a certain timeframe, then you get an additional 300 Swagbucks and so do they!
At the time of writing (December 2016), they’re offering an even bigger bonus, where you can still get the 300 for All incentive, but with the possibility of earning an additional 200 Swagbucks each. The bonus Swagbucks are awarded if your referral makes a $25 purchase through one of the Shop offers and 300 Swagbucks in any other earnings.
Not a bad way to make a bonus $5!
What Do You Get?
Simply head over to the ‘Rewards’ section and check out the great things you can redeem your points for, starting at just 300 Swagbucks (or $3).
Each Swagbuck works out to roughly 1 cent (so 100 equals $1), but there are often rewards on sale, which will stretch your earnings a little further.
Also, once a month, you can get a redemption discount on $25 gift cards. Instead of redeeming the typical 2500 Swagbucks, they cost 2200 Swagbucks – effectively saving you $3! A nice bonus to get you ready for your next payout!
Now What?
You may be wondering how it’s possible that I only make about $25 a month with so many offers. It’s really just because I mostly only let videos run while I’m doing other things online. Certainly, if I spent that full hour or two focused completely on Swagbucks, my earnings would be substantially more, however, as a full-time mom to young children and a part-time blogger, I only get about 2 hours a day to myself for checking email/writing/doing laundry/showering/doing paid offers, etc. etc.
If you’ve got the time, this is an amazing site to earn lots! If you don’t have a whole lot of time, it’s still great for some extra cash each and every month!
