Amazon Prime Days are in full swing. If you are supporting the workers of Amazon in their strike against unsafe working conditions, here are some other ways to get Prime prices while boycotting Amazon!

I have been an active and frequent Amazon Prime shopper for the past several years. Mostly due to convenience, but also because I earn so many Amazon gift cards each month through various survey and get-paid-to sites.
Needless to say, Amazon Prime Day is a day I get really excited for. Typically, we spend several hundreds of dollars during Prime Days, but this year, we will be spending none.
If you haven’t yet heard, Amazon warehouse workers in Europe and the USA are striking on Prime Days due to unsafe working conditions.
Since we refuse to cross picket lines (whether virtual or physical) we not be shopping at Amazon over the next two days.
Still, the sweet deals being posted in various groups are incredibly tempting, and since we had a shopping list prior, we decided to look at alternatives. And fortunately, there are some!
Here’s alternative ways to get Amazon Prime Day prices without shopping at Amazon!
Price Compare
Did someone post something really awesome, or did you already have a big list? Start shopping around to see if anywhere else has comparable (or possibly better) prices!
There were two big items on our Prime Day watch list. The first was a TV for our garage. While we didn’t plan on shopping the event, we still took a look at TV prices to compare. We were impressed with the specs and price of the TCL 4-Series TV. Knowing we weren’t going to buy it, we did a quick Google search and found the exact same one at Best Buy for the exact same price!
The second item we wanted to get was an air fryer. I did a quick search on Amazon to see what the deals were and quickly found the Ninja Air Fryer. We still use our Ninja mixer from like 10 years ago and love its quality and function. Ninja is a brand we really like. So, I did another quick search and found that the exact same model was the exact same price at Costco (with the possibility of it being cheaper in store).
Price Match
Another option to get the Prime prices is to simply price match!
Since Amazon is an online only retailer AND this is a special event, not all stores will offer their normal price match guarantee. Also, price matching is often to the discretion of a store manager/franchise owner, so it doesn’t hurt to call beforehand to see if they particular store will price match.
Here are some stores that will likely match Amazon Prime Day:
The Source – See price match policy here
Toys R Us – See price match policy here
Sleep Country (plus they’ll beat the price by 5%)!- See price match policy here
Home Depot – See price match policy here
Other stores may price match as well, so it certainly doesn’t hurt to call and ask.

Just Don’t Buy Anything
Do we really need another TV? NO. Do we really need an air fryer? NO. Do my kids really need more toys? Absolutely not.
Another option is to really think about what you’re planning to buy and determine how much is impulse buying because it’s on sale versus how much it is really wanted/needed.
Don’t Forget to Save More
No matter where you shop during this sale or anytime, be sure to save more by shopping through Ebates.ca and submitting your receipts to Coinout (receipts@coinout.com) for cash back. Every little bit adds up!
