May 2014 Goal Recap

Lose 2lbs a week by December 31 2014–NOT ON TRACK– It was another bad month, and a very bad month at that πŸ™ I gained 3lbs πŸ™

Put $12000 into savings by December 31 2014–NOT ON TRACK– The basement renovations are still going on now into June, and daycare preparation is in fulls wing, so all our extra money went into those ventures during May.

Earn an extra $12000 by December 31 2014– NOT ON TRACK– Outside of regular income, we brought in an extra $212.64. Very disappointing, considering how much we’ve been spending. I’m really going to have to step it up in this are this month.

Start a daycare in September 2014–ON TRACK– Basement renovation is almost complete – we just have to do some painting and then decorating and organizing! Advertising has started and website is a go! Now to get some kids!

Read a book a month by December 2014– ON TRACK– I finished Forgotten by Catherine McKenzie – a nice light read that tries to be much more profound than it actually is.

Finish the basement by August 2014–ON TRACK– Pretty much finished! All the construction is finished, and now we are just painting the doors and trim!

Plant a fruit/vegetable garden in spring 2014–NOT ON TRACK– Garden looks like a no go this year πŸ™

My review for this month really echoes those of the last few – the basement renovations are key to opening my business in the fall and they are almost done. The business is also really coming together nicely and I should be able to actively advertise and interview prospect families by in the next week or two. However, the chaos has led to a lot of stress eating, anxiety and a definite bank account drain. I’m really looking forward to the end of construction and getting my life back! Β
