Finding Coupons

Once you  start looking, it will feel as though coupons are falling out of the sky!

Coupons are created by companies simply to get you to buy their product and then they hope you will like it so much, you will continue to spend your money on their items.  Coupons are everywhere, because companies want you to buy!

So where do you look?  Well, for starters, look below for a few sites with explanations!

Tear Pads

Have you ever walked through a store and noticed little pieces of paper dangling from the shelves?  These are most likely tear pad coupons, always a great find!

Remember how I wrote that companies give out coupons so you will buy their products?  Well, often those coupons will be right in front of the products!  No kidding!  If you are picking something up from a store, and notice a coupon in front of it – use it!  Sure, it may only be for $0.50, but it’s $0.50 more you can have in your pocket (and you can get 2 handfuls of reesespieces from the vending machine at work with the money you saved!)  In all seriousness though, if you use 10 $0.50 coupons, that’s $5 in your pocket – it adds up quickly!

Ever notice these people in the grocery store on weekends?  Well, not only are they offering samples of yummy products, they often have coupons too!  After you give something a try, ask for coupons – worse case scenario: they don’t have any!

Newspaper Inserts

Your local paper is a hotbed of coupons!  You will typically find an insert every one-two weeks with lots of money saving coupons!  Don’t be shy asking friends/family/neighbours to save them for you!  You’ll be amazed at how many people toss them without a second thought…which brings me to my next coupon spot…
